This year Venice MainStreet, Inc. gave one free Santa photo to each family that visited with Santa.

"Oh yes Santa, I have been good all year!"

Santa met with children of all ages to find out what they wanted for Christmas!

Santa's Elves were on hand to give out candy canes.

The breezeway of Miami Avenue hosted Santa from 5:30-8pm

Free music was presented on all the avenues!

The Venice High School ROTC were the crossing guards!

A wonderful event enjoyed by all!

Back to School Concert

Venice MainStreet, Inc. hosted a musical extravaganza on August 15th in Centennial Park in Downtown Venice. From one in the afternoon until ten that night a different band took the stage every hour! Venice Honda, Nifty Nic Nacs, Janis Fawn and Winston Wilmore generously sponsored the fantastic music!

Drew Danielo, owner of Ollie’s Wake Skate and Skim, teamed with the Venice YMCA to organize an amazing skate course set up in Centennial Park for the first time ever! Venice skaters from beginners as young as six to advanced level teens entertained the onlookers with their jumps and tricks. The skate competition had to be postponed for two hours because of a slight rain
but when everything dried out the skaters returned to the course and Drew started the judging. You could see the total concentration radiating from each skater as they took their turn on the the course.

These kids were so good it was amazing and fun to watch.
